Beneath the existing tax program in China, there are 26 sorts of taxes, which, according to their mother nature and function, can be divided into the adhering to eight classes:

Turnover taxes. This consists of 3 sorts of taxes, namely, Price-Extra Tax, Intake Tax and Enterprise Tax. The levy of these taxes are typically dependent on the quantity of turnover or product sales of the taxpayers in the production, movement or services sectors.

Income taxes. This incorporates Company Income Tax (successful prior to 2008, relevant to this sort of domestic enterprises as condition-owned enterprises, jointly owned enterprises, personal enterprises, joint operation enterprises and joint equity enterprises), Foreign Investment Business and Overseas Enterprise Revenue Tax ("FEIT"), and Individual Cash flow Tax. Resource taxes. This is composed of Reference Tax and City and Township Land Use Tax. These taxes are applicable to the exploiters engaged in pure source of information exploitation or to the users of city and township land. These taxes reflect the chargeable use of state-owned natural sources, and intention to modify the diverse profits derived by taxpayers who have entry to diverse availability of all-natural methods.

Taxes for special functions. These taxes are Town Preservation and Design Tax, Farmland Occupation Tax, Set Asset Investment Orientation Regulation Tax, Land Appreciation Tax, and Automobile Acquisition Tax. These taxes are levied on specific things for special regulative functions.

Agricultural taxes. Taxes belonging to this class are Agriculture Tax (which includes Agricultural Specialty Tax) and Animal Husbandry Tax which are levied on the enterprises, models and/or individuals acquiring cash flow from agriculture and animal husbandry routines.

Customs obligations. Customs responsibilities are imposed on the products and content articles imported into and exported out of the territory of the People's Republic of China, including Excise Tax.
